Ukraine hit by 119 drones, air defense active in half of regions

Russia launched 119 drones at Ukraine on the night of March 9. Air defense operated in 12 regions of Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.
This night (from 7:00 PM on March 8), the enemy launched drones from six directions: Orel, Millerovo, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Chauda (Crimea).
The attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Air defense shot down 73 drones. The air defense forces operated in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv regions.
Another 37 enemy drones (decoys) were lost locationally (without negative consequences).
Consequences of the Russian attack
The Air Force noted that as a result of the enemy attack, the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Sumy regions, and Zaporizhzhia were affected.
As reported, air defense forces were active in Kyiv during the night. According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, the Russians launched over 30 drones at Kyiv. Twelve drones were shot down on the outskirts of the capital.
The occupiers also targeted critical infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia. A fire broke out due to the attack. Residents of Zaporizhzhia and surrounding areas were warned about issues with gas and heat supply.
