The Ukrainian Armed Forces are currently holding back a major Russian offensive. This is one of the most intense Russian offensives since the start of the full-scale war, according to the Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, on Telegram.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces held a meeting with a delegation from the Czech Armed Forces, led by Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Karel Řehka.

Syrskyi briefed the Czech military officials on the frontline situation, which remains challenging. Ongoing active combat operations in specific areas require continuous resource updates for Ukrainian units.

"Currently, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are holding back one of the most powerful Russian offensives since the full-scale invasion began," Syrskyi noted.

He highlighted that the Czech Republic has spearheaded several critical initiatives for Ukraine, including coalitions to enhance artillery and armored vehicle capabilities, as well as aviation and integrated air defense systems.

Situation on the frontline

It's worth noting that Russian forces have been advancing on the front for several months, particularly applying pressure in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions. Recently, the town of Selydove has also become a focal point of fighting. More details on the situation around Selydove can be found in RBC-Ukraine's report.

Additionally, Russian forces have increased their activity in southern Ukraine, with advances in the Zaporizhzhia region.
