Ukraine expands anti-drone protection of logistics routes to over 1,300 km - General Staff

Ukraine’s Armed Forces engineering units have installed more than 1,300 kilometers of anti-drone protection along logistics routes since the beginning of the year. In August alone, 266 kilometers of such structures were installed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Engineering units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are strengthening anti-drone protection along logistics routes and expanding the installation of the relevant engineering structures.
In August alone, engineers installed 266 kilometers of anti-drone protection. In total, more than 1,300 kilometers of such structures have been installed since the beginning of the year, and the work continues as the network of protected routes is constantly expanding.
New approaches to protecting routes were introduced in 2025. They are intended to increase the survivability of logistics routes, reduce personnel and equipment losses, and ensure uninterrupted supplies to units in combat areas.
Anti-drone protection for logistics routes is not being installed by Ukrainian Armed Forces engineers alone. Back in May, the State Special Transport Service, tasked by the Ministry of Defense, protected more than 1,170 km of frontline routes, more than doubling the pace of construction to 8.5 km per day.
