Ukrainian intelligence forces struck high-value Russian air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine informs.

"Strike drone specialists from the Active Operations Department of the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine identified and destroyed expensive air defense systems of the Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region," the agency explained.

According to intelligence data, the operation destroyed:

  • Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system,
  • Imbir radar station,
  • Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system.

The released footage shows a Ukrainian drone maneuvering to evade a surface-to-air missile and accurately hitting its targets.

Russian losses in the war in Ukraine

Since February 24, 2022, Russian forces have lost more than one million soldiers in Ukraine.

Notably, over 600,000 Russians have died in the past year and a half alone.
