The head of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, said that Ukrainian military intelligence has the ability to eavesdrop on conversations between high-ranking Kremlin officials.
During a talk with the RBC-Ukraine correspondent, Budanov briefly confirmed the capabilities of the intelligence.
“Yes, we can. We get paid for it,” he said.
The comment came amid publications in a number of Western media outlets, which suggested that Ukraine could have provided journalists with recordings of conversations between Putin's adviser Yuri Ushakov and envoy Steve Witkoff.
Earlier, Kyrylo Budanov said that Russia hopes that the threat of destroying Ukraine's energy sector will force Ukraine to negotiate on Russia's terms. But this is a limited factor of influence, so Russia is rushing with its “proposals.”
We also wrote that Russian propaganda is spreading a fake by the Russian special services that the account of Budanov on the X platform was created on the territory of Russia.
