Ukraine can assist France in setting up training center for drone operators
Ukraine is ready to help France set up a training center for UAV operators as a step toward the exchange of experience, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
“I returned to Ukraine with concrete results after meetings with colleagues—the Ministers of Defense of France, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Germany. I worked as part of the delegation led by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy,” Umerov said.
In France, he reviewed the training of the Ukrainian brigade.
“France is not only training but also equipping our units with modern weapons. This is an example that other partners should follow. During the meeting with President Macron, I proposed an exchange of experience in the drone sphere. Ukraine is ready to assist in establishing a training center in France for drone operators,” the minister added.
There will be more weapons for Ukrainian soldiers, he notes, as Britain will supply AS-90 artillery systems, long-range weapons, and robotic systems that will greatly enhance Ukraine's capabilities on the battlefield.
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the results of his visits to four European capitals.
