Ukraine has brought seven more civilians back from occupied territories. They include a 90-year-old woman with limited mobility, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament’s Commissioner for Human Rights, stated.
“Thanks to my humanitarian communication channel with Russian human rights commissioner Yana Lantratova, we managed to reach an agreement on the mutual return of civilians,” Lubinets said.
According to him, seven Ukrainians returned to territory controlled by Ukraine. Another seven civilians traveled to Russia as part of efforts to reunite families, with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Among those who are finally home are a 90-year-old woman with limited mobility and a 50-year-old Ukrainian woman who has suffered a myocardial infarction and a stroke and has other medical conditions.
Given the two women’s health conditions, the necessary transportation arrangements were made to ensure their safe return.

The return of a young woman and her child was also arranged.
When Russia launched its full-scale invasion, the woman was temporarily staying in Mariupol. As a result of the fighting and the subsequent occupation of the city, she was unable to return to her family.
A major obstacle to returning to Ukrainian-controlled territory was the need to obtain documentation for the child. They are now home but need psychological support.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that 41 Ukrainians returned from occupied territory through a checkpoint in the Volyn region in August and September 2026. Nine of them were minors.
