Ukrainian and US officials have scheduled contacts today, December 10, to discuss a new document, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The President said that Ukraine’s communication with its partners continues around the clock. The main goal is to define workable and realistic steps toward ending the war. Peace for Ukraine, he stressed, must be reliable and dignified.

"Today’s schedule includes a conversation with the US side regarding a document that will detail the process of Ukraine’s postwar reconstruction and economic development," he said.

Zelenskyy added that in parallel, Ukraine and Europe are finalizing work on a 20-point fundamental document that could define the parameters for ending the war. The document is expected to be handed over to the US soon.

The President also noted that tomorrow, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing will take place. Productive work continues to ensure Ukraine’s future security and prevent a new Russian aggression.

"This week may bring news for all of us – and for bringing the bloodshed to an end. We believe that peace has no alternative, and the key questions are how to compel Russia to stop the killings and what specifically will deter Russia from a third invasion," Zelenskyy said.

New version of the peace plan

A few days ago, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in London with the leaders of the UK, Germany, and France. After the talks, he said that the national security advisers of the four countries are working on the latest version of the US peace plan, which was delivered by Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov.

Ukraine and Europe are expected to develop an updated version of the document with their own vision of how the war can be brought to an end.

Earlier, the Ukrainian President stressed that the updated peace plan is expected to be handed over to the US today, December 10. Its contents remain classified.
