Ukraine and Russia agreed to a new meeting – Turkish foreign minister

Ukraine and Russia have likely agreed on new negotiations during today’s meeting in Istanbul, states Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, according to Bengu Turk.
According to him, today was an important day for peace around the world. The talks in Istanbul took place after "intensive diplomatic efforts."
The minister confirmed that the Ukrainian and Russian delegations agreed on a prisoner exchange of 1,000 for 1,000 as a confidence-building measure.
At the same time, Ukraine and Russia agreed to present each other with conditions that would allow for a ceasefire to be reached.
"Both parties reached a preliminary agreement to meet again. As Türkiye, we will continue to make every effort to achieve a lasting peace between Russia and Ukraine," Fidan added.

As of now, it is known that the two countries agreed to a prisoner exchange in a 1,000 for 1,000 format.
The talks also touched upon the possibility of a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
