Over the past 72 hours, the Avdiivka-Pokrovsk sector in the Donetsk region has remained the main focus of Russian forces' efforts, with the invaders making no significant progress, citing the British Ministry of Defense.

British intelligence says Russian forces made minor gains in the northern part of the sector towards the villages of Sokil and Yevhenivka.

Meanwhile, along a parallel axis about 3 km to the south, Russian forces are likely approaching the outskirts of Novoselivka-Persha village.

“Further south Russian forces have made no significant gains despite heavy attacks against Ukrainian positions west of the village of Netailove, astride the E50 highway,” the report says.

Russian attacks on the village of Nevelske have reportedly been repelled, and the village is likely to remain controlled by Ukrainian forces.

“Over the next week this sector is likely to remain an area of significant operational focus as Russian forces attempt to maintain operational tempo in the face of heavy losses,” British intelligence said.

Frontline situation

According to analysts at the Institute for the Study of War, Russian troops continue their offensive in the Kharkiv region. However, Ukrainian defenders are repelling the invaders and regaining lost ground. At the same time, the Russians have made some progress.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that on June 3, Ukrainian troops eliminated another 1,290 Russian occupiers. The enemy's total losses in manpower as of today amount to 512,420 people.
