Tyson vs Mayweather! Boxing legends set for exhibition match

Former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather and former undisputed heavyweight champion Mike Tyson have signed an agreement for a fight, CSI Sports reports.
When this fight will be
The boxing legends are set to face each other in the ring in spring 2026, though the exact date and venue have not yet been announced. Both fighters confirmed the matchup on their social media pages.
What Tyson said
"When CSI came to me about stepping in the ring with Floyd Mayweather, I thought, 'No way this happens,' but Floyd said yes. But he wants to do it, so it's signed and it's happening," said 59-year-old Iron Mike.
According to him, the fight will be dangerous for Mayweather's health:
"I still can't believe Floyd wants to really do this. It's going to be detrimental to his health, but he wants to do it."
Mayweather's reaction
48-year-old Floyd Mayweather emphasized that he is stepping into the ring to reaffirm his legendary status:
"I've been doing this for 30 years, and there hasn't been a single fighter that can tarnish my legacy. You already know that if I am going to do something, it's going to be big and it's going to be legendary. I'm the best in the business of boxing. This exhibition will give the fans what they want."
When these legends last fought
The ABC (Association of Boxing Commissions) stated that such fights should follow special rules: 2-minute rounds and gloves with extra padding (due to differences in weight and size).
Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2005. Last year, he surprised fans with a comeback at age 58, stepping into the ring for an official bout against showman Jake Paul, losing on points.
Mayweather retired officially in 2017. Since then, he has participated in eight exhibition matches. In his last fight, he defeated former MMA fighter John Gotti.
