Two men attempted to dismantle artillery shell in Donetsk region, one of them died
In the Kramatorsk district of the Donetsk region, two men attempted to dismantle an artillery shell. The explosive device detonated, resulting in the death of one man and injury of another, according to the State Emergency Service (SES).
"According to the report, near the village of Molocharka in the Kostiantynivka community of the Kramatorsk district, as a result of the detonation of an explosive device, a man born in 1993 died from injuries sustained on the spot," the statement said.
According to preliminary information, the men were attempting to dismantle an artillery shell. As a result of the explosion, one man died, while another was hospitalized in moderate to serious condition at the hospital in Kostiantynivka.
Not the first incident
Recently, in Mykolaiv region, a man brought home a munition and attempted to dismantle it with an axe. He was killed on the spot by the explosion of the projectile.
In October of last year, in Sumy region, a teenager found an explosive device in the yard of his own house. He died from the detonation, sustaining injuries to his hands and body that were incompatible with life.
Similarly, in the summer in the Kharkiv region, a munition exploded, injuring a 13-year-old boy. He lost fingers on his left hand due to the blast.
