Tusk warns Russia's strikes are moving dangerously close to Poland

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Russian attacks on Ukraine are moving increasingly closer to the country's border, prompting Polish services to prepare for possible threats, according to TVP INFO.
Before the meeting of the Council of Ministers, Tusk said that Poland faces "very difficult weeks and months" because of Russia's aggressive actions against Ukraine.
According to him, Russian attacks are moving increasingly closer to the Polish border. At the same time, the government and security services are focused on preventing the threat from spreading to the country's territory.
The Polish prime minister noted that aircraft have to be scrambled repeatedly because of Russian strikes near the Polish border.
"Every night or every day, we are forced to scramble our aircraft multiple times," Tusk said.
He added that this concerns not only attacks near the border itself, but also strikes on border crossings and infrastructure.
Poland coordinates with Ukraine
Tusk also stressed the importance of rapid coordination with Ukraine. According to him, the Polish side receives information about aerial threats approaching the border.
The prime minister noted that the Ukrainian military is trying not only to warn Poland about such objects, but also to destroy the threat while it is still over Ukrainian territory.
On September 28, a Russian jet-powered drone fell in the village of Starovoitove in the Kovel district of the Volyn region, approximately 2 km from the Polish border.
The blast wave damaged the Yahodyn border crossing facility.
