Head of Türkiye's National Intelligence Organization İbrahim Kalın has arrived in Qatar, as Ankara joins talks on ending the war in the Gaza Strip, according to TRT Haber.

According to security sources, İbrahim Kalın will hold talks with relevant parties in Qatar regarding the Gaza peace plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, as part of negotiations between Israel and Hamas mediated by Qatar, the United States, and Egypt.

At a press conference in Doha, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari announced that Türkiye will join the Gaza ceasefire talks.

"The efforts of Qatar, Egypt, and Türkiye will be carried out collectively and in coordination to end the war. Our main goal is to stop the war and end hunger in Gaza," al-Ansari said.

He recalled that the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza had been conducted under the mediation of Qatar, the US, and Egypt, and confirmed Türkiye's participation in the process.

Al-Ansari also said that the head of Egyptian intelligence met with a Hamas delegation the previous day, and that Türkiye will join the next session.

Trump's Gaza peace plan handed to Hamas

Commenting on US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict, al-Ansari said that Ankara values Washington’s commitment to achieving peace in Gaza, adding:

"Our main goal is to end the war and the famine in Gaza."

He confirmed that Qatar and Egypt have already conveyed Trump’s plan to Hamas.

"It is too early to expect a response, but we believe the movement will show a positive attitude," he said.

The spokesman emphasized that Qatar has been making consistent efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza, deliver humanitarian aid, and prevent further escalation, noting that the Arab Peace Initiative remains on the agenda.

Al-Ansari also welcomed Trump’s proposal to establish a Peace Council and expressed support for the US role as a guarantor of the process.

"Qatar retains all its legal rights regarding the Israeli attack. Our priority is the country’s sovereignty and the safety of our citizens. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu apologized during yesterday’s phone call and assured that such incidents would not happen again," he added.

He stressed that Türkiye's efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza continue without interruption.

"Our goal is to end the war, the daily killings of Palestinians, and hunger, at any cost, and to announce an agreement as soon as possible," al-Ansari said.

Trump's Gaza peace plan

On September 29, US President Donald Trump, together with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, presented a 20-point "Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict."

If accepted by both sides, the plan would immediately halt the war, lead to the gradual withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, mark a new stage without Hamas, and ensure the release of all hostages.

Qatar and Egypt have already delivered Trump’s proposal to Hamas.

At a UN session on the Palestinian issue, the Israeli delegation emphasized that military operations in Gaza will continue until Hamas is destroyed and all hostages are freed.
