Trump to meet Erdoğan at White House: What they will discuss

US President Donald Trump will host Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the White House on September 25. They will discuss trade between the countries and major deals involving aircraft, stated Trump on his Truth Social.
"I am pleased to host President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, of Turkey, at the White House on September 25th," Trump wrote.
According to the US President, he and Erdoğan are working on numerous trade and military deals, including a large-scale Boeing aircraft purchase, a major F-16 agreement, and ongoing F-35 negotiations, which "we expect to conclude positively".
"President Erdoğan and I have always had a very good relationship. I look forward to seeing him on the 25th!" Trump added.
Trump’s tariffs
On April 1, US President Donald Trump imposed unprecedented import tariffs on more than 180 countries, with rates ranging from 10% to 50%.
However, by April 9, Trump suspended these tariffs. The US began negotiations on additional tariffs with over 75 countries that had requested talks.
After several delays, the tariffs came into effect on August 1 for countries that had not reached an agreement with the US.
