Trump threatens with secondary US sanctions for buying oil from Iran

US President Donald Trump has called on countries to stop purchasing Iranian oil, warning that otherwise they will face secondary sanctions, according to a post by the head of the White House on Truth Social.
"All purchases of Iranian Oil, or Petrochemical products, must stop, NOW! Any Country or person who buys ANY AMOUNT of OIL or PETROCHEMICALS from Iran will be subject to, immediately, Secondary Sanction," Trump wrote.
He emphasized that countries purchasing Iranian oil will not be allowed to do business with the US in any form or manner.
US sanctions on Iran and beyond
In March, Bloomberg reported that the Trump administration was prepared to impose sanctions on Iran, specifically targeting the extraction of Iranian oil.
In the same month, it became known that the US had imposed sanctions on China for the first time. The reason was that China had purchased oil subject to American sanctions.
