"We have very good talks going with Russia and Ukraine. We're doing a lot of good talking and I think we had the results today," US President Donald Trump said.

He added that the US is holding "very good" negotiations with Russia and Ukraine, as well as with Iran.

"We are having very good talks with Iran and very good talks with Russia and Ukraine. We talk a lot and very well," the American leader said.

Peace talks

The most recent round of Ukraine-related negotiations took place in the US on February 4–5 in Florida. However, territorial issues remain unresolved. Sources told media that a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia could be possible as early as March.

Key obstacles to peace include territorial disputes and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant (NPP). Russia demands full control over the NPP, Donbas, and parts of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, including areas not currently occupied.

Recently, Moscow even stated it would agree to peace only if the international community recognized Donbas as Russian territory, a claim responded to by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Kyiv continues to reject the aggressor’s terms: no Ukrainian forces will withdraw from Donbas or other regions, and the Zaporizhzhia NPP will not be handed over to Moscow.
