Trump says Putin will respond to Ukraine's operation Spiderweb

US President Donald Trump is dissatisfied with how Russia plans to respond to Ukraine regarding the events that took place "a couple of days ago", stated the American leader during a meeting with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House.
"What's going on with Russia, Ukraine...I'd like to see it end, and maybe it'll end. We get some news that there'll be some fighting. Something happened a couple of days ago (referring to the Ukrainian operation Spiderweb - ed.), and now they'll do a return. It's not good. I'm unhappy about it," Trump said.
At the same time, the American leader added that he hopes that the bloodshed between Ukraine and Russia will eventually be stopped.
He reiterated that 5,000 to 6,000 soldiers are dying every week in the war between Ukraine and Russia. It is unclear where Trump obtained this statistic.
Trump's conversation with Putin
Yesterday, June 4, US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation.
Following the talks, Trump wrote that the Kremlin leader had warned very decisively that he would have to respond to Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian airfields.
At the same time, the American leader did not even condemn Putin's plans.
The Ukrainian attack on the airfields took place on June 1. As a result, 41 Russian aircraft were hit.
