Trump says meeting with Zelenskyy was very good, everyone wants the war to end

US President Donald Trump described today’s meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum as very good, reports Sky News.
“I had a very good meeting with President Zelenskyy, everybody wants to have the war end,” Trump emphasized.
In response to a question about whether there was a possibility of reaching a deal already today, Trump said that it was necessary to “see what happens.”
“We're meeting with Russia, that'll take place tomorrow and we're going to be meeting with President Putin (Russian president Vladimir Putin – ed.),” the US president said.
Trump also told journalists that they did not discuss the issue of Zelenskyy’s joining the Board of Peace.

Today, January 22, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump held a meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
Earlier, the media spread rumors that the Ukrainian and American leaders were to sign a prosperity deal for Ukraine worth $800 billion at such a forum.
But a few days ago, Axios, citing an unnamed Ukrainian official, wrote that the plans to sign such a document had been canceled. An unnamed American official told the outlet that the prosperity plan still requires further work.
The head of the Ukrainian state emphasized that he would go to the World Economic Forum if documents on Ukraine’s recovery and security guarantees for Ukraine were ready. According to him, no one needs empty politics.
