Trump says Iran’s frozen assets will pay for shipping attack damages

US President Donald Trump has made an official statement regarding how the damage caused to commercial vessels as a result of Iranian strikes will be compensated, according to his post on Truth Social.
According to the American leader, compensation for the strikes will come from Iranian assets frozen in the US.
"From this point forth, any and all damages done to Ships, Cargo, or anything related thereto will be paid for by Iranian Money that the United States has in its possession and controls. These damages may be very substantial but, nevertheless, this is the fair and equitable thing to do," the White House chief wrote.
By the way, it should be noted that tonight the US launched another series of strikes on Iran. Thus, the attacks have been ongoing for the 13th consecutive night.
War between the US and Iran
In July, hostilities between the US and Iran resumed. This happened after Tehran attacked vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, and Washington responded with strikes on Iranian territory.
Yesterday, US President Donald Trump stated that he is considering the possibility of resuming a large-scale military operation against Iran. According to him, the potential operation could be significantly larger than the one that took place in the spring.
According to Bloomberg, US allies in the Middle East are increasingly irritated by the escalation of military actions between the US and Iran. They believe that Trump should go all-in by deploying ground troops.
