Trump says he is very disappointed in Putin again

US President Donald Trump is very disappointed with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has still not agreed to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and has only intensified attacks on Ukraine, CNN reports.
"I'm very disappointed in him. He and I always had a great relationship. I'm very disappointed. Thousands of people are dying. They’re not Americans that are dying, but they’re Russians and they’re Ukrainians. And there are thousands, and it’s a war that makes no sense," Trump said.
He once again repeated that this war would never have started if he had been president of the United States.
"We'll be doing something to help people live. It's not a question of Ukraine. It helps people live. Seven thousand people are dying every single week, soldiers mostly. If I can help to stop that, I think I have an obligation to do it," Trump added.
Trump’s deadline for Putin
Earlier, US President Donald Trump warned that Russia would face very serious consequences if Russian leader Vladimir Putin refused to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The deadline Trump set for Putin regarding a meeting with Zelenskyy expired on September 1.
However, the Russian President did not agree to meet with the Ukrainian President. On the contrary, Russia has intensified drone attacks on Ukraine.
Meanwhile, during his visit to China, Putin claimed that Russia has "never had, does not have, and will not have any desire to attack anyone."
At the same time, according to Zelenskyy, Russian troops are amassing forces in certain areas of the front.
