Donald Trump set a record on Truth Social by posting more than 560 times in one month. Journalists summarized the nighttime marathons of the US president and discovered something interesting, according to The Independent.
It turned out that, according to journalists’ calculations, the US president shared his thoughts on social media 565 times in one month. This means he makes approximately 18 posts per day. One third of them appear late at night. For comparison, in April 2018 he posted only 250 times.
Analysts noticed a certain pattern: Trump becomes especially active on weekends. Over the past month, there was only one weekend night when he did not post anything. Usually, posts appear before 1 a.m. or after 7 a.m.
Controversial content and the role of assistants
The content on the president’s page often causes controversy. Trump is not afraid to provoke his audience. In April, he shared AI-generated images. In one of them, he was depicted in the image of Jesus.
Other posts included:
- Edited photos with threats toward Iran;
- Constant criticism of the 2020 election results;
- Calls to his supporters.
Journalists suggest that not all posts are written by Trump himself. He may be assisted by Natalie Harp, who serves as his executive assistant. Harp is known for constantly accompanying him with equipment for working on social media.
A sleepy president or a night-time player?
Such nighttime activity raises questions among doctors and critics. Recently, Trump has been seen with his eyes closed during official meetings. This has even happened during press events.
Night posting and daytime sleepiness may indicate issues with his routine. The president himself calls this his typical schedule. However, experts question his mental and physical fitness to govern the country.
White House reaction
The president’s administration fully defends his communication style. White House spokesman Davis Ingle said that Americans love these posts. He considers this approach a sign of transparency.
“President Trump is the most transparent and accessible President in American history to the media, and his return to the White House saved the legacy media from going out of business. The press knows that they can’t get enough of Trump, and the American people appreciate hearing his first-hand insights on topics of importance to our country,” Ingle said.
Other unexpected statements Trump has made on social media and publicly
Among the most recent, it is worth mentioning Trump’s confidence that he could easily go to space and even the Moon. He even said it should be tried.
“To get in there, you have to be very smart, have to do a lot of things physically good. So I would have had no trouble making it, I’m physically very, very good,” Trump said at a meeting with astronauts of the Artemis II mission.
He also insulted an entire country on his Truth Social account, calling India a “hellhole.”
In addition, Trump disrupted negotiations with Iran through his social media comments. Sources in the US administration suggest that his statements may have complicated the talks.
