Trump revokes access to classified information for Blinken and Sullivan - Reuters

US President Donald Trump revokes access to classified information for former Secretary of State Antony Blinken. He has made the same decision regarding former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Reuters reports.
According to the publication, this move came a day after Trump announced that he had revoked access to classified information for his successor Joe Biden, halting his access to daily intelligence briefings.
Trump also revoked access to classified information for Biden's Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, who helped coordinate the Department of Justice’s response to the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack by Trump supporters.
Trump further stripped access from New York Attorney General Letitia James and Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, both of whom were involved in cases against him.
"While the revocations may not have immediate impacts, it is another sign of the growing rift in Washington. Former US presidents have traditionally received intelligence briefings so they can advise incumbent presidents on national security and foreign policy," journalists note.
Previous security clearance revocations
Earlier, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin revoked the personal security and access to classified information for Mark Milley, a retired Army general and former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Milley, who served as the top military officer during Trump’s first term, became one of his fiercest critics after retiring in 2023 during the Biden administration.
Additionally, on February 8, Trump canceled former President Joe Biden's access to classified data. It is worth noting that in 2021, Biden also revoked Trump’s access to classified information when he was a former president.
