Trump reveals whether he would sign Graham's 'bone-crushing' sanctions package for Russia

The chances of passing Senator Lindsey Graham’s "bone-crushing" sanctions bill against Russia are quite high, US President Donald Trump made the remark during a press conference.
Asked about the chances of the Russia sanctions bill being passed within the next week or two — and whether he would sign it — Trump said the proposal has strong support.
"So we're looking at that. But they're seriously thinking, and this is in honor of Lindsay. This was his thing. He wanted this more than any other thing. You know how he felt. And there's a good chance that it gets done," Trump said.
He added that the bill could also include sanctions targeting Iran and Hezbollah.
"They're going to add Iran, which is a very big thing if they did that. They may add Hezbollah, too," the US president said.
Following Senator Lindsey Graham's death, the bill imposing sweeping sanctions on Russia gained new momentum. The White House has already signaled its readiness to support the initiative.
Speaking at a briefing in Kyiv on July 10, Graham, one of the bill's authors, said the new measures are intended to strengthen US President Donald Trump's position and help bring the war in Ukraine to an end as quickly as possible.
The senator said the legislation would give the White House broad authority to increase economic pressure on Moscow. In particular, it would allow for the introduction of steep tariffs and sanctions against countries that continue to purchase Russian oil and gas.
The restrictions would also target foreign companies and governments that help Russia circumvent existing sanctions. Graham and Senator Richard Blumenthal spent nearly two years working on the legislation.
