Trump reveals when he would sanction Russia

US President Donald Trump said he would impose additional sanctions against Russia, but only "if necessary," reports CNN.
"If I think Russia will not be making a deal or stopping the bloodshed … I’ll use it if it’s necessary," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One.
He added that senators, many of whom supported the bill to strengthen sanctions against Russia, are leaving the final decision up to him.
"I haven’t spoken to them about it. They have a bill, it’s going to be up to me, it’s my option. They made it that way, and it would save a lot of time if that happened. So, I’m OK with it. I haven’t decided to use it. It’s a very strong bill," the US President added.
What sanctions are being discussed
In early May, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham developed a draft of devastating US sanctions against Russia. The document was supported by a majority of senators.
It stipulates that the US would impose 500% tariffs on countries that buy oil, petroleum products, natural gas, or uranium from Russia.
However, yesterday, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration is not satisfied with Graham's bill, which is why White House officials are trying to significantly weaken the measures. One proposal was to let the American leader decide for himself who to impose sanctions on. The Trump administration also proposed replacing all must language with may.
We also reported that Trump recently stated he has his deadline in mind for when to impose sanctions against Russia.
