President-elect Donald Trump is planning to appoint businessman Massad Boulos as his chief adviser on Middle East affairs. The latter is the father-in-law of the daughter of the 47th head of the White House, CNN reports.

Massad Boulos' son, Michael, is married to Trump's daughter Tiffany. Michael Boulos actively supported Trump's campaign, particularly among Muslim Americans.

Recently, Trump also chose Charles Kushner, a well-known philanthropist, to be the US Ambassador to France. The latter is the father of Jared Kushner, who is married to Trump's other daughter, Ivanka.

The 47th President of the United States has long involved his family members in political life, which often raises questions about possible conflicts of interest. For example, from 2017 to 2021, Ivanka Trump and her husband served as senior advisors in the presidential administration, working in the West Wing of the White House.

It is expected that during his second term in office, Trump will again rely on trusted individuals from his inner circle.

Trump also decided to appoint Kash Patel, a person from his previous team, as FBI director. He also chose businessman John Phelan as a candidate for the post of head of the US Navy.
