Trump on peace in Ukraine: Everything will be clear in two weeks

In two weeks, partners and allies will know whether peace can be achieved in Ukraine, stated US President Donald Trump on the Todd Starnes Show.
Answering a question about whether peace could be reached in the region, Trump said: "I would say within two weeks we are going to know, one way or the other."
He added that if it’s not possible to resolve Russia’s war against Ukraine, it may be necessary to "take a different tack".
The American leader stressed that everything will become clear soon.
Meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin
On August 15, US President Donald Trump met with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska. On August 18, Trump held talks at the White House with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders.
After these meetings, the American President called Putin to discuss the possibility of talks with Zelenskyy. Moscow insists on a bilateral meeting with the Ukrainian President first, followed by a trilateral format including Trump.
Switzerland has offered to host the future summit, with Austria making a similar proposal.
At the same time, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed doubt that Putin would dare to meet Zelenskyy in person.
