The minerals deal between Ukraine and the United States is a big commitment from Washington. It will be signed today, February 28, stated US President Donald Trump during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, according to Sky News.

Trump described the agreement as “a very fair deal” and emphasized that it represents a significant commitment from the United States.

“It is a big commitment from the US,” Trump stated.

President Zelenskyy expressed hope that the deal would be a “step forward for Ukraine”.

According to the Ukrainian President, he also plans to discuss with Trump what the United States is “ready to do” in the context of helping Ukraine.

Zelenskyy's visit to the US

Today, February 28, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a visit to the United States.

The Ukrainian head of state has already met with US senators. He is currently at the White House for a meeting with US President Donald Trump.

The key event of the day should be the signing of the minerals deal between Ukraine and the US. On the Ukrainian side, it will be signed by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Yuliia Svyrydenko.
