US President Donald Trump has invested in nine of the largest oil and gas companies. During the six months of war with Iran, the rising value of these stocks has earned him millions of dollars, according to CNBC News.

According to CNBC, journalists compared the value of stocks in Trump's portfolio from February 27, the day the conflict with Iran began, to August 31.

In particular, nine assets were identified in which Trump has investments. These include shares of Chevron, ConocoPhillips, ExxonMobil, Kinder Morgan, Marathon Petroleum, Occidental Petroleum, Phillips 66, Valero Energy, and Williams Companies.

Against the backdrop of the rising value of these energy companies, the US leader earned between $1.5 million and $4.4 million. The profit range depends on which end of the asset value range is used, as listed in Trump’s financial disclosures.

The reports indicate that at least 23 stock trades involving these nine companies were made by Trump or his investment managers by June 29 - the last date on which the president disclosed transaction details.

At the same time, the publication notes that the reports do not specify the exact number of shares, trade prices, or which particular shares were sold. As a result, the provided estimates do not reflect Trump’s actual profit or the precise number of shares he owns.

CNBC added that it found no evidence that Trump or his investment managers conducted trades based on advance knowledge of his decisions, that his financial interests influenced policy, or that he gave instructions on specific trades.

Nevertheless, these documents are the latest example of how Trump holds multi-million-dollar financial assets in a sector directly affected by his administration's military and diplomatic decisions.
