Trump launches 'Trump 2028' merch despite ban on third term

In Donald Trump’s online store, merchandise with the slogan "Trump 2028" has gone on sale. The next US presidential election will be held in 2028, but Trump is prohibited from running for a third term, according to The Guardian.
On the official Trump Store website, one can purchase red caps for $50, T-shirts for $36, and can coolers for $18. The product descriptions say: “The future looks bright! Rewrite the rules.”

As the agency notes, despite Trump’s rating having significantly dropped, he does not rule out that he will run for a third term, although the US Constitution prohibits this. The 22nd Amendment to the US establishes these restrictions Constitution. According to it, no person is allowed to be elected president more than twice.
Trump’s third term
Earlier, Donald Trump stated that he did not rule out the possibility of running for a third presidential term. He said that he was “not joking” and that there are “methods” that would allow bypassing legislative restrictions.
Previously, a group of Trump supporters had initiated a constitutional amendment to allow him to run in 2028.
The Wall Street Journal wrote that Trump’s team, even before his victory in the 2024 elections, talked about the possibility of a third presidential term. According to the US president’s lawyer, there are legal grounds for this.
