US President Donald Trump jokingly said he would like to become the next Pope. Although he has no particular preference for who should take the role, said Trump while speaking with reporters.

"I'd like to be pope. That would be my number one choice," he said in response to a question about who he thinks should be the next head of the Catholic Church.

He added that he has no personal favorite for the position but suggested that Timothy Dolan, the Archbishop of New York, could be a good choice.

"I don't know. I don't have a preference. But I must say we have a cardinal out of a place called New York who is very good, so we'll see what happens," he added.
