Operation in Venezuela
As is known, at the beginning of January 2026, the United States carried out a large-scale special operation in Venezuela, as a result of which the leader, Nicolás Maduro, was detained. He, along with his wife Cilia Flores, was taken to the United States by American military personnel.
US President Donald Trump highly praised the results of the operation, stating that the American army is the most powerful and most advanced in the world. At the same time, Washington emphasized that it does not intend to occupy Venezuela.
Representatives of the Republican Party of the United States also assured that this military operation will not turn into an endless war.
According to media reports, during the special operation in Caracas, at least 75 people were killed as a result of airstrikes and gun battles. There were no US citizens among the dead.
