The US war against Iran will continue for another two to three weeks. The United States has already succeeded in bringing about a change in the country’s leadership, and Tehran will not possess nuclear weapons, US President Donald Trump states during a briefing with reporters at the White House.
"Regime change was not one of the things I had as a goal. I had one goal. They will have no nuclear weapons. And that goal has been attained. They will not have nuclear weapons," Trump says.
When asked how much longer the US military operation against Iran would last, he replies that he thought it would be 2-3 weeks.
"Their leaders are all gone. That's why we have regime change. We have nice new leaders," the US President adds.
According to him, it doesn’t matter whether Iran agrees to a deal with the US
"When we feel that they are for a long period of time put into the Stone Age, they won't be able to come up with a nuclear weapon. Then we'll leave. Whether we have a deal or not is irrelevant," Trump notes.
US war against Iran
US President Donald Trump recently informed his aides of his readiness to halt the war against Iran, noting that he would consider this option even if the Strait of Hormuz remains largely closed.
Before this, Trump stated that if Iran does not agree to a deal and does not open the Strait of Hormuz, the US will blow up and destroy all power plants, oil wells, and the island of Kharg. At the same time, he has already acknowledged that there may not be a deal with Tehran.
Later, White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt stated that Washington continues to adhere to the previously announced timeline for the operation, 4 to 6 weeks, of which 30 days have already passed.
Meanwhile, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced its intention to launch attacks starting April 1 on facilities belonging to US technology companies, including Google, Apple, Microsoft, and Nvidia, located in the Middle East.
