Trump eyes high-level meeting with America’s top generals - The Washington Post

In the US, top military generals and admirals will gather for an emergency meeting. The decision to hold the meeting came as a surprise and immediately affected the level of security within the country, according to The Washington Post.
US President Donald Trump intends to participate in a meeting of senior generals, which has been organized at the direction of Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth.
The source notes that the Pentagon has officially confirmed the president’s attendance. In this regard, the US Secret Service has been granted additional authority to ensure security at the event.
Order of the Pentagon Chief
Last week, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth ordered the gathering of hundreds of top military officials - generals and admirals with the rank of one star and above, as well as their senior commanders.
The reason for the sudden decision was not specified in the order. However, many insiders claimed that the generals were concerned by such a call, as nothing of this kind had ever been held before.
Trump himself reacted to the event with the following statement:
“It’s really just a very nice meeting talking about how well we’re doing militarily, talking about being in great shape, talking about a lot of good, positive things. It’s just a good message,” Trump told NBC News.
Xi Jinping, in response to US efforts to conclude a trade agreement with Beijing, may set as a condition for Donald Trump the abandonment of support for Taiwan’s independence.
The US has declared its intention to prevent the annexation of the West Bank by Israel and to oversee the implementation of the agreements reached. At the same time, Trump’s plan includes several additional conditions.
