US President Donald Trump has publicly endorsed Armenia's incumbent Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan ahead of the parliamentary elections scheduled for June 7.

Trump called Pashinyan "a great friend and Leader" who is "making his Country strong, wealthy, and very secure!"

The US President states that the Armenian Prime Minister shares his vision of peace and economic development for the entire region.

Trump also announces that US Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently visited Armenia, where he discussed a number of important bilateral agreements.

Separately, the American leader announces the launch of a joint US-Armenian initiative called the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP).

According to the US President, this project is intended to transform the South Caucasus and open up new logistical opportunities for American energy companies between Central Asia and the United States.

"For these reasons, Nikol has my COMPLETE and TOTAL Endorsement for Re-Election on June 7, 2026. With Nikol's help, we will bring the United States, Armenia, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia to greater heights than ever before. Make (Armenia) Great Again — MAGA," Trump writes.

Russia has begun threatening Armenia over its course toward rapprochement with the European Union. Moscow sees a threat to bilateral cooperation between the countries.

Vladimir Putin expressed dissatisfaction with Armenia’s course toward rapprochement with the EU and declared such a development path unacceptable.

According to him, such a policy could lead to consequences similar to the events in Ukraine in 2014, referring to Russian aggression.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, during a meeting with Putin, teased him about the excess of democracy in Armenia. In particular, he stated that there were no political prisoners and emphasized that social media in Armenia operates without restrictions.
