Trump demands Europe pay back US aid sent to Ukraine under Biden

The United States plans to demand that Europe repay "hundreds of billions of dollars" for weapons provided by former US President Joe Biden’s administration to Ukraine and NATO, US President Donald Trump stated.
He compared the costs of the operation in Iran with military support for Kyiv. Trump said the Biden administration had provided Ukraine with far more ammunition, "at no cost to them."
In Trump’s view, Europe should have been the one to pay for financial and military assistance to the region.
"Hundreds of billions of dollars was given to Ukraine and NATO, free of charge, that Europe would have paid for — If they were only asked, but we will be asking for that money, though somewhat belatedly!!" he stressed.
"Virtually unlimited amounts" of ammunition in the US
Trump said the United States has "virtually unlimited amounts" of medium- and high-grade ammunition. According to him, these resources are far greater than the country could possibly use in a military operation in Iran or any other potential conflict.
Trump emphasized that US military production had reached previously unseen levels. The United States is currently building up its stockpiles for its own needs, but plans to resume arms sales to allies soon.
The president also expressed outrage over how the media portrays the actions of the US military.
Earlier, Trump said that Joe Biden and his policy of supporting Ukraine had led to a reduction in US weapons stockpiles.
It should be noted that Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth said the United States had spent $37.5 billion on the war with Iran. According to media reports, the US military has already used nearly 80% of its main interceptor missiles for air defense systems.
