Trump congratulates German conservatives on election victory

On Sunday, February 23, Germany held early elections for the Bundestag, which were won by the Christian Democrats (CDU/CSU). US President Donald Trump has already congratulated the conservatives on their victory on his social network Truth Social.
"Looks like the conservative party in Germany has won the very big and highly anticipated election. Much like the US, the people of Germany got tired of the no common sense agenda, especially on energy and immigration, that has prevailed for so many years," Trump wrote.
He added that this is a great day for Germany and the United States "Under the leadership of a gentleman named Donald J. Trump."
"Congratulations to all — many more victories to follow!" he summarized.
