Trump announces imminent release of hostages in Gaza Strip

Newly elected US President Donald Trump has announced that hostages held in the Gaza Strip will soon be released, Sky News reports.
"We have a deal for the hostages in the Middle East. They will be released shortly," he wrote.
Additionally, a senior Arab diplomat familiar with the negotiations told The Times of Israel that the US, Qatar, and Egypt will soon release a joint statement announcing the deal.
Following the announcement, Qatar's Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani will hold a press conference in Doha to provide further details about the agreement.
The agreement between Hamas and Israel
As previously reported, Hamas approved an agreement with Israel on the release of hostages in the Gaza Strip and a ceasefire. The group sent its response to the mediators.
