Trump and Putin may hold phone call soon – Politico

President of the United States Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin may hold telephone talks as early as today, April 4, reports Politico.
The talks between Trump and Putin may take place today or after the weekend. However, the media adds, “as ever with Trump, nothing is set in stone.”
According to NBC News, the White House team is currently advising him not to call Putin until the latter commits to a complete ceasefire in Ukraine. Two administration officials said that a conversation between Trump and Putin is not scheduled for today.
Trump-Putin talks
The last conversation between the US president and the Russian leader took place on March 18. At that time, the parties agreed to begin the path to a truce between Ukraine and Russia. However, Moscow did not accept Washington's proposal for a complete ceasefire. Instead, Putin named his own conditions, including a halt to mobilization in Ukraine and military aid and intelligence to Ukraine.
