After the election, on Wednesday, November 6, US President Joe Biden held a phone conversation with Donald Trump and invited him to the White House. The newly elected president of the US accepted the invitation, according to Associated Press and CNN.

According to the Trump campaign, Trump highly appreciated President Biden's call and accepted his invitation to meet at the White House to ease the transition of power.

Trump campaign communications director Steven Cheung said the meeting will take place soon.

"President Joe Biden called President Donald J. Trump to congratulate him on his victory and extended an invitation to the White House to ensure a smooth transition between the current Administration and the incoming Administration. President Trump looks forward to the meeting, which will take place shortly, and very much appreciated the call," he said.

It should be noted that a few hours earlier, US Vice President Kamala Harris addressed her supporters for the first time after her defeat in the election. She acknowledged her loss and promised a peaceful transfer of power.

Additionally, Harris confirmed the information reported by the media that she had spoken with Trump and congratulated him on his victory.
