Due to flooding in Poland and the Czech Republic, several train services have been temporarily canceled, including those heading to Ukraine, informs Ukrainian Railway.

"As of now, both trains from Prague — one to Chop and the other to Przemyśl — are still in the Czech Republic and will not make their scheduled connections in Ukraine," the statement reads.

UZ emphasized that passengers with tickets for today’s trains can board any available service on a similar route within the next 24 hours without needing to exchange their tickets.

"For passengers traveling from Ukraine to Prague connections, we advise contacting your Czech or Polish railway operator to check the schedule for upcoming trains. There is a high likelihood that passengers may need to plan for an overnight stay in the connecting city," the company warned.

Weather in Europe

On September 15, Europe was hit by severe weather. For instance, Austria was blanketed in snow in September.

Snowfall has been recorded in Lower Austria, a densely populated province after Vienna, where a state of emergency has been declared.

Additionally, floods are reported in other regions of Austria. Local authorities are preparing for the potential consequences of the storm, which also affects Poland.

As reported, Europe is facing an unusually warm start to September following a summer marked by abnormal heat and drought in the southeastern part of the continent. The heat is expected to persist in Ukraine as well.
