Tom Holland has set a new record. The combined worldwide box office of films starring the actor has reached approximately $15.5 billion, allowing him to take the top spot in the ranking of the highest-grossing actors of all time.
RBC-Ukraine reports that 30-year-old Holland overtook Zoe Saldaña, who previously topped the list.
Holland's new record
Two major 2026 releases helped the actor reach the top of the ranking — Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day became Holland's fourth solo film as Peter Parker. The movie was released worldwide in late July and has surpassed $2.4 billion at the global box office. According to the latest reports, the film continues to earn money in theaters.

Another major contribution came from The Odyssey — Christopher Nolan's epic adaptation, in which Holland played one of the leading roles. The film also became one of the year's biggest box-office hits, with worldwide earnings approaching $1.7 billion. It has already become Universal Pictures' highest-grossing film, surpassing the studio's previous records.
Both movies effectively became key factors in Holland's rapid rise up the rankings.
How Holland became one of the highest-grossing actors
His total is also built on major Marvel projects, including Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
Avengers: Endgame was particularly significant to his overall result, with worldwide box-office earnings exceeding $2.8 billion. Spider-Man: Far From Home grossed more than $1.1 billion, while Spider-Man: No Way Home earned around $2.1 billion.
In 2026, two more major blockbusters were added to his filmography, each of which brought in more than a billion dollars at the worldwide box office.
It is worth noting that the $15.5 billion figure represents the combined box-office earnings of the films in which he appeared, meaning the money audiences spent on tickets worldwide. Interestingly, the record could continue to change. Spider-Man: Brand New Day has not yet completed its theatrical run, so its final worldwide box-office total is still unknown.
