Tom Hardy will no longer appear in the crime series MobLand, produced by Guy Ritchie. The actor was reportedly removed from the project for a rather significant reason, reports Daily Mail.
Details
The 48-year-old star of Venom, The Dark Knight Rises, and Mad Max: Fury Road played fixer Harry Da Souza in the crime drama MobLand. However, while working on the show’s second season, he reportedly regularly arrived late to the set, demanded that lines be rewritten “to suit him,” and even sent his own script edits without approval from the team.
Tom was also unhappy that the show’s storyline was increasingly focusing on the characters of his star co-stars Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan.
His relationship with producer Jez Butterworth reportedly became especially difficult, with rumors claiming their conflicts escalated to threats of leaving the project.

As a result, producers could no longer tolerate Hardy’s provocative behavior and decided not to continue filming with him for the third season of the popular series.
Not the first conflict
The conflict on the set of MobLand is far from the first in Hardy’s career. Back during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road in 2015, he clashed with actress Charlize Theron over his constant lateness. Later, the star personally admitted that he had been “too tense” and that his colleague “deserved a better partner.”
Despite the scandalous reports, there has so far been no official confirmation of Hardy’s dismissal from either Paramount+ or the actor’s representatives. At the same time, insiders claim the studio has already made a final decision regarding the actor’s future — or rather, his absence — in the third season of MobLand.
Hardy’s life
Recently, the Hollywood actor has increasingly been speaking not only about new roles, but also about serious health problems. In his latest interviews, he admitted that years of exhausting shoots, difficult stunts, and physical transformations have taken their toll, and that his body has started “literally falling apart.”
Hardy has already undergone two knee surgeries and also suffers from a herniated disc, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis — chronic pain in the foot. He strained a tendon in his thigh, which causes him constant discomfort during physical activity.
The actor does not hide the fact that all of these injuries are the result of many years of working in action films and undergoing intense preparation for roles. For movies, Tom regularly gains or loses weight, goes through grueling training, and performs complex scenes, which have gradually affected his body.
