Morning routines are crucial for setting the tone of your day, influencing your productivity, energy levels, and overall well-being. Besides, establishing healthy morning habits can aid in shedding extra pounds, according to nutritionist Vira Kuryn.

Starting the day with a glass of water

Water is the source of life. Therefore, it's recommended to kick off the day with a glass of room-temperature water. This liquid contains no calories yet rejuvenates the body after sleep, prolongs the feeling of fullness, and helps maintain the necessary hydration for health and weight management.

Drinking a glass of warm water on an empty stomach in the morning stimulates the removal of fat deposits along with toxins and improves blood circulation.

Keep in mind that the water temperature should be warmer than your body temperature. Always sip slowly, trying to hold the water in your mouth for some time.

Breakfast

According to the nutritionist, many people often neglect their first meal of the day. They rush to work, spend 20 minutes making breakfast, and then reluctantly sit down to eat.

Tthis is definitely not advisable.

"Skipping breakfast sets you up for unhealthy snacking before lunch. Obviously, this will lead to weight gain. Additionally, if you don't provide your body with the necessary morning energy, your health will suffer," says Vira Kuryn.

A small breakfast is better than its complete absence. Even a small portion will have a positive impact on your health. For example, it could be just 2-3 spoonfuls of porridge, an egg, and any vegetable. That's more than enough.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the fight against excess weight. It nourishes and strengthens the body.

So, if the sun is shining in the morning, spend more time outdoors, go to a further bus stop or park your car and walk to the office.

It's also important not to forget to include fatty fish rich in vitamin D in your diet or take vitamin D supplements.
