In the Kharkiv region, the heat has significantly intensified, leading to the rapid decomposition of the bodies of Russian occupiers left on the battlefield. This not only deteriorates the atmosphere but also poses a serious threat of spreading infectious diseases, citing Colonel Vitalii Sarantsev, the spokesperson for the Kharkiv Operational-Tactical Group.

According to him, Russian forces are hardly evacuating their dead, leaving them abandoned.

"The enemy is barely conducting evacuation efforts for the deceased. While they still attempt to evacuate the wounded, irrecoverable losses remain on the battlefield. Now that the heat has returned to the Kharkiv region, this is certainly creating a problem for the enemy," the military official said.

Specifically, in the past 24 hours, enemy losses in the Kharkiv direction amounted to 59 personnel, with another occupier captured. The sanitary losses of Russian troops have reached 60 personnel.

"The situation remains difficult," Sarantsev said.

He also emphasized that the enemy continues active assault operations on all fronts.

"This includes the well-known Vovchansk direction and the nearby settlements, as well as the Hlyboke-Lyptsi direction, where the enemy is trying, by all means, to penetrate deeper into our defenses," Sarantsev said.

Despite intense attacks, Ukrainian forces are successfully holding back the offensive, preventing any loss of positions, while the enemy suffers significant losses.

Situation in Kharkiv direction

Earlier, Sarantsev reported that Russian invaders were transferring units from the Luhansk region to the Kharkiv direction.

Moreover, since the beginning of August 19, four combat engagements have been ongoing in the Vovchansk and Lyptsi areas.
