According to the Foundation’s press service, the Andriy Matiukha Foundation has supported a project to build a new sports facility for orphaned children. A modern football field and an inclusive children’s sports playground will be constructed in Zhytomyr for the residents of the Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care for Children.
In May, the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Dynamo Stadium hosted a charity auction titled “Buy a Lot from Legends of Ukrainian Sports to Give Orphans a Football Field.”
The event was organized to raise funds for the construction of the new sports complex. Once completed, it will benefit not only orphaned children but also more than 6,000 children from across the region.
The auction was organized by FC Dynamo, the Andriy Matiukha Foundation, the Ukrainian Journalists' National Team, and the News Center information agency.
“We support projects that create space for children’s development,” stated the Andriy Matiukha Foundation.
“What matters in such initiatives is their real impact on children’s lives. We joined this project because we believe access to sports should be open to everyone,” said Andriy Matiukha.
The auction featured unique items, including autographed jerseys from Ukrainian national team players Oleksandr Zinchenko and Illia Zabarnyi, footballs signed by Andriy Shevchenko and other national team players, boxing gloves from Vitali Klitschko and Oleksandr Usyk, a sneaker from tennis player Serhiy Stakhovsky, and a collectible coin from Usyk.
Since its establishment, the Andriy Matiukha Foundation has supported initiatives focused on the development of sports, education, healthcare, assistance to veterans, and strengthening national defense. For the foundation, participating in charitable events is part of a broader, systematic effort to support Ukrainian communities.
