The Beatles biopic cast revealed: Who will bring the legends to life on screen

Sony Pictures and director Sam Mendes have officially announced the cast for the films about the legendary band, The Beatles.
The cast of The Beatles films includes Harris Dickinson, Paul Mescal, Barry Keoghan, and Joseph Quinn.
The cast was confirmed by director Sam Mendes and Sony Film chairman Tom Rothman at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.
Paul Mescal will play Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn will portray George Harrison, Barry Keoghan will take on the role of Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson will play John Lennon.
All four actors appeared on stage at the end of the presentation and simultaneously read the lyrics of the Beatles' song Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, before bowing in sync in true Beatles style.

According to Mendes, Rothman described the project as the "first bingeable theatrical experience."
Mendes had long been trying to create a film about the legendary musicians but ultimately realized that the story "was too big for a single movie," while a series did not fit the storytelling format.
The studio plans to release four films about The Beatles, each dedicated to a different member of the band, in April 2028.
The official slogan of the project, The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, reads: "Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary."

The Beatles are considered the most popular music group of all time, according to the RIAA, and Sony hopes to engage this loyal audience with a unique film release strategy.
CinemaCon is an annual event for film distributors and Hollywood studios, taking place this year from March 31 to April 3. It is organized by Cinema United (formerly the National Association of Theatre Owners).
