The presidents of Türkiye and the United States discussed bilateral relations, Russia's war against Ukraine, and tensions between Washington and Tehran. Ankara pledged to continue supporting peace efforts, citing the Office of the President of Türkiye.

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan expressed hope that intensified diplomatic efforts to end the war would yield positive results.

He assured that Türkiye would continue to contribute to these efforts. According to Erdoğan, it is important to strengthen engagement with both Ukraine and Russia.

The Turkish leader also stressed that the confrontation between Iran and the United States needs to end and that disputes should be resolved through diplomatic means.

The presidents also discussed cooperation between Türkiye and the United States. Erdoğan expressed confidence that it would continue to deepen and thanked Trump for supporting the Organization of Turkic States summit.

Türkiye is actively involved in efforts to end the war. At the G20 foreign ministers' meeting in Atlanta, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that Ankara, together with India, had proposed ideas on Black Sea security. According to him, the proposals primarily concern resuming grain shipments, which are essential to global food security and, in part, energy security.

Erdoğan's talk with Trump took place ahead of trilateral talks between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia in Abu Dhabi on November 10-11. Kyiv has announced the composition of its delegation. According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine's main priority will be security guarantees.
