American actress Sydney Sweeney has arrived in Venice for the start of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival. The "Euphoria" star chose a striking airport look featuring a lace top and shoes that were almost invisible on her feet.

What look did Sydney Sweeney choose?
The 28-year-old actress was spotted at Venice airport on Wednesday, September 2. For her trip, she chose a look from Georges Chakra’s Spring/Summer 2003 collection.
Sweeney wore a sheer lace top with an open neckline, high collar, and ruffles. She paired it with beige Bermuda shorts featuring a fabric belt.
She completed the look with a small bag, earrings, and sunglasses. The footwear particularly caught attention – the actress opted for transparent Sofia Mule 95 mules by Gianvito Rossi.

The model features a pointed silhouette, a slim heel approximately 9.5 cm high, and a transparent insert. A pair costs around $945 (nearly UAH 42,279).
Transparent footwear has become one of the standout trends of 2026, and Sweeney’s choice shows how it can be paired even with a fairly understated monochrome palette.
Why did Sydney Sweeney come to the festival?
This year, the actress is attending the Venice Film Festival not to promote a new movie. She is an ambassador for Armani Beauty, the official partner of the 83rd festival.
After arriving in Venice, the actress greeted fans at the airport before heading to her hotel by water taxi.
This is not Sweeney’s first time attending Italy’s biggest film festival. She previously attended the event in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
