Sweet but slim: Soft poppy seed roll is perfect for guilt-free indulgence

The cottage cheese and poppy seed roll is a healthy and tasty dessert that fits easily into a diet. Thanks to the combination of low-fat cottage cheese and poppy seeds, it provides the body with protein, calcium, and fiber, while remaining low in calories, reports Ukrainian food blogger Alex Mil.
Recipe for cottage cheese and poppy seed roll
You will need:
- lavash – 70 g
- eggs – 2 pcs
- fermented cottage cheese (0.2%) – 250 g
- sugar substitute – 40 g
- poppy seeds – 60 g
Total cooking time – 40 minutes. Nutritional value per 100 g:
- calories – 160
- protein – 13 g
- fat – 7 g
- carbohydrates – 10 g
Total weight – 550 g
Easy preparation
First, pour boiling water over the poppy seeds and let them sit for 10 minutes. Then, in a bowl, add the cottage cheese, 1 whole egg, and one egg white (set the yolk aside). Add the sugar substitute and the drained poppy seeds. Mix everything thoroughly.
Next, spread the mixture over the thin lavash and smooth it out. Roll it up and place it on parchment paper. Brush the top with the reserved egg yolk.
Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes.
